All students must fill out class application form and sign aggressive dog policy.
AGILITY CLASSES:
All students participate in set-up/take-down of courses.
Introductory Obstacle Class - 4 week session
Dogs and Handlers will learn:
- Basic obedience exercises for agility
- Obstacle names and performance
- Goal setting
- Turn commands
Prerequisites:
- Dogs may not be aggressive.
- Dogs must be at least 3 months old with proper vaccinations for their age.
- Dogs will be evaluated at first class session for temperament and ability to continue in the sport.
Beginning Agility - 6 week session
Dogs and Handlers will learn:
- Three to four obstacle sequencing
- Weave pole on weave-o-matic/wires/panels
- Right and left sided handling
- Begin off lead if dog is reliable
Prerequisites:
- Dogs may not be aggressive.
- Dogs must be at least 6 months old and in good physical condition.
- Handler and dog will have completed at least one session of beginning agility.
- Dogs will be reliable on basic obedience commands.
Advanced Beginning Agility - 6 week session
Dogs and Handlers will learn:
- Crossing; when, where and why
- Contacts to count on
- Short courses sequencing
Prerequisites:
- Dogs may not be aggressive.
- Dogs must be at least 6 months old and in good physical condition.
- Handler and dog will have completed at least one session of beginning agility.
- Dogs will be reliable on basic obedience commands.
Advanced Agility - 6 week session
- Handlers and dogs will run courses and sets of excercises in preparation for exhibition at trials.
- Handlers will learn crosses and advanced handling techniques.
Prerequisites:
- Dogs must demonstrate their understanding of commands and obstacle performance.
- Dogs must be in good physical condition, demonstrating no physical difficulty in performing the obstacles.
- Dogs may not be aggressive.
Masters Agility - 6 week session
- Open only to dogs who are in the excellent/elite/masters classes
- Open to club members only

Weight Pulling - 4 wk introductory class
- Dogs will learn how to pull weighted cart/obstacles.
- Goal is to prepare dog and handler for weight pulling events.
Prerequisites:
- Dogs must demonstrate their understanding of basic obedience commands.
- Dogs must be in good physical condition, demonstrating no physical difficulty.
- Dogs may not be aggressive.
- Dogs must be a minimum of 1 year of age.
Handlers must bring a well fitted weight pulling/non-restrictive harness
